A guild activity was organized for the students of IIS(Deemed to be University). The resource person was Ms. Sheetal Chitlangia. She is an artist and faculty of visual art department. The objective of this activity was to keep the student attention .This activity was interactive, exciting and stimulating.

Marbling is an ancient artistic technique used to create beautiful patterned paper. Paper marbling is an artistic method in which colours floating on a liquid surface are transferred onto paper to create a marbled pattern. 

Oil-based ink is dropped into a shallow tray of water where it floats on the surface. Paper is laid on top of the floating ink, and the colour transfers to the paper’s surface

Students were engaged in this activity. They also enjoyed the demonstration and tried to make card and phone cover using marbling. Students learnt that how they could make different decorative items by marbling.

The students were given practical knowledge of the application of marbling and their uses. The session was very informative and the students learnt the techniques enthusiastically. The students showed their keen interest by participating in the activity. 20 students participated in the demonstration.
