Objective of the Session:

Objective of the Event: To aware the students about the various acts related to prevention of Sexual Harassment at workplace

 

Summary/Description (max 500 words):

The ICC in collaboration with the Department of Management Studies, organized a presentation activity on "Acts related to Gender Based Violence " as part of " Awareness Campaign for Eliminating Gender Based Violence ", to be observed as per AICTE guidelines. It aimed to create awareness about various acts related to discrimination against women in economic and social life. The students were asked to make PPT presentations in group and express their view on the topic. Through their presentations students highlighted various provisions and Committees that are working towards elimination of discrimination against women.

Outcome of the Session

Students gained understanding of the women's rights against discrimination and the legal framework for ensuring safety and seeking solutions.
