Para Sports Meet

 The National Sports Day was celebrated at The IIS University on 29th August 2017, by the Equal Oppurtunity Cell, Sorts Board and NSS as a tribute to the ace hockey player, quick goal scorer and a winner of three Olympic gold medals, Dhyan Chand Singh. A Para Sports Meet is held on the occasion every year, with a desire to invigorate the specially abled children of various organisations. The para sports meet was declared open by Dr. Raakhi Gupta, Rector and Registrar, The IIS University. Children from various communities working towards the cause Umang, Disha, Milestone, Nirmal Vivek and Sweekar enthusiastically particapted in the games held on the occassion.  The games included hockey, ring throw, pick and run, bunch balloon, straw pick, face painting and water fill and run. The feeling of a constant regard and dedication to the capabilities they exhibited in sports left everyone spell bound and led to a cheerful ambience. Dr. Ashok Gupta, Vice-Chancellor, boosted their fervency by presenting gold medals to all the achievers and mementoes to the teachers. Children also explored the hues of a colourful life experimenting the fun and frolic on sheets of paper. Dr. Raakhi Gupta explicitly stated the alpha and omega of the occasion and shared the synergic delightful moments. The programme culminated with a valedictory note by Dr. Sharad Rathore.
