Objective of the Event:

  • Toconduct Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) household surveys
  • Preliminary transect walk of Nevta
  • To create awareness regarding sanitation

Summary:

The students of sociology and social work made a field visit to Nevta to complete a participatory rural appraisal (PRA) with the intention of better understanding the problems of the village and making action plans to support the development of the village. They did household survey and created awareness about sanitation among the villagers. Students also did a cleanliness drive around the village in which they picked up the waste materials and aware the people about cleanliness and waste segregation.

Outcomes of the Event:

  • Department students completed 30 household surveys for Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.
  • Students completed a preliminary transect walk to learn more about the geography and physical resources of the village.
  • Provided awareness about menstrual hygiene and provided sanitary pads for the same.
  • Students did a cleanliness drive to promote good health and sanitation.
