The omnipotent, all purpose, all pervasive media has been under the microscope for years, leaving multiple impressions & images in the minds of the audiences. But, we have to agree that the media has become an indispensable part of our lives. From dusk to dawn, we are chased by the media in one way or the other. Life is impossible without the TV or the internet.
So, to uphold values of democracy and as pioneers of media education of this esteemed institution, it is our duty to keep the media in the spotlight. It is for this purpose that the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of the IIS University is organizing “विVIDHA 2012”- a Media Festival with a difference.
“विVIDHA 2012” will include a variety of academic activities, quizzes, and competitions covering all facets of fun and learning.It will provide budding actors, orators, film makers, photographers, journalists and dancers a platform to showcase their talent and win commendations by challenging pre conditioned mindsets of the students and exhorting them to take up newer challenges. An intercollegiate Media Fest of this nature also urges students to aim for accepting change, facing challenges and developing lateral thinking.
