Department of Fashion & Textiles conducted a guest lecture on 6th October 2018 by Ms. Shruti Mishra, who is professionally a Fashion Designer, ‘APASH’,Fashion Studio, Jaipur.
The resource person introduced the students about the importance of fashion. She started the lecture by sharing her personal experience of how she stared her work and career as a fashion blogger.
The lecture created a window for the students towards the opportunities available in the fashion and textiles industry. Known for her passionate commitment towards the research of fashion and textiles, Ms. Shruti Mishra provided guidance to students to shape ones focus through the systematic understanding of career options and individual crave for career thirst. Uniqueness, creativity and experimentation were the elements which she asked the students to instil in their works.
It was an interactive session between the resource person and students where they discussed and understood the concept of fashion careers. She suggested them to follow some famous fashion bloggers and also to work with export houses, manufacturing units, branded fashion showrooms, boutiques and studios.
Students of Fashion & Textilesdepartment look forward for such activities that help them to sharpen their mind & imagination. The entire guest lecture was eye - opening and very interesting for the students of B.Com, BBA III & Semester V, B.Sc. Fashion Design Semester I and Garment Production Export Management Semester I & V.
