Interactive Session, on Struggle for Equality with Women on Wheels Drivers

Women Cell, Population Education Club and Centre for Women’s Studies organized an interactive session on ‘Struggle for Equality’. Three women drivers trained by Azad Foundation and the Foundation team Ms. Anita Mathur, the Programme Officer and Mr. HariSharma, the placement officercame for the session. 
Dr. Raakhi Gupta, Registrar IIS University welcomed the group with potted plants from IIS nursery.
Through an interview of the women drivers conducted by media students, the students of Foundation Women’s Studies from various disciplines got a glimpse of their hard earned confidence, the difference in their lives and their journey of acquiring commercial license. Ms. Mathur told the struggles the Foundation has with convincing women to take driving as a profession. Mr. Hari Sharma shared the interaction they have with boys in bringing about equal existence. 
It was a learning experience for students and faculty alike.
