Objective of the Guest Lecture

The guest lecture was organized with an aim to make students aware of the major sources of solid waste and their management technologies 

Summary/Description

 The lecture provided a comprehensive knowledge regarding the major types and sources of solid waste generated in the country and the adverse effects of poor management of solid waste . Prof. Khan elaborated upon the adverse effects of solid waste on the various Environmental components like air ,soil and water. Prof. Khan discussed the various aspects of solid waste management in India and other countries. He also elaborated upon the latest technology which can be used for sustainable waste management and resource conservation.

Outcome of the activity

 

The lecture helped students to understand the importance of planning in developmental activities. Students could understand about opting wildlife studies as their career
