Sixth Global Leadership Programme to be held in Bangkok and Pattaya City, Thailand

NOTICE

This is for the information of all UG & PG students that Association of Universities in Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), in cooperation with Panayapiwat Institute of Management (PIM), is organizing the Sixth Global Leadership Programme to be held in Bangkok and Pattaya City, Thailand, from 25 August to 1 September 2019.

Selected students from the AUAP member institutions will be required to undertake an extracurriculla programme centered on the theme: “Next Generation Leader in a Disruptive World”. The programme targets students who are interested in their personal growth amidst challenging surroundings and in seeing how student leadership can impact global change. Talks and discussions will be conducted in English and cover the following topics :

·         Innovative Skills and Entrepreneurship

·         Cultural Diversity and Peace 

·         Intercultural Communication

·         Key Difficulties in Global Societies

·         Careers

The programme will offer an opportunity for students to engage in various leadership assignments and also provide an avenue to explore Thai culture. The activities will include the undermentioned :

·         Entrepreneurial Engagement

·         Group Presentation

·         Creativity Contest

·         Sight Seeing

The closing ceremony will have the students present their performances, after which they will receive a certificate of programme-completion.

The host will cover the local logistics, accommodation and meals and the participants will be responsible for their round-trip international air-ticket to Thailand, including accident and health insurance.

The University will select two students who are active, sincere and responsible as well as willing to undertake this assignment. Since the seats are very limited, the selection will be based on first come, first served basis and the deadline to send in the duly filled-in Application Form to the AUAP (attached herewith) is 1 July 2019. The Form should be mailed to registrar@iisuniv.ac.in and a copy marked to rimika.singhvi@iisuniv.ac.in. The students will then be called for a Personal Interview for selecting the required number, and will tentatively be held on 4 July 2019. The time and venue for the interview will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates closer to the date.
