Applications are invited for DBT Supported M.Sc. Biotechnology through GAT-B in
Department of Microbiology & Biotechnology
at IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur
For Admission in the Academic Session 2025-27
Application process for admitting students to the M.Sc. in Biotechnology will be as per DBT guidelines and only female students will be selected based on GAT-B-2025 cut off scores. For more details, applicants are advised to visit admissions 2025-26 on the link https://www.iisuniv.ac.in

Eligibility criteria
IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur will admit only the women students who have qualified GAT-B National level entrance exam conducted by DBT in April 2025.
Students need to have bachelor’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences or any Allied Science subjects with at least 50% marks (or equivalent grade) for UR category and 45% (or equivalent grade) for EWS/SC/ST/OBC candidates from a recognized University/ Institute.
Distribution of seats: Admission of students under DBT supported PG teaching program will be done by the University as per reservation policy of Government of India on allotted 10 seats.

Admission process
- Candidates with qualifying GAT-B score have to apply online.

- Candidates, in order of merit, will be intimated for admission on the university website, as per the notified admission schedule. Along with the intimation letter (through e-mail), the candidate will be provided with other relevant information, i.e.
- the required fees to be paid by the candidate at the time of admission,
- the list of original documents to be verified during admission, and
- the last date of admission
- Result-awaited categories: The candidates (those who have appeared in the qualifying examination and the results are awaited) are also eligible to apply for consideration of provisional admission. All such candidates will be required to produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination to the University latest by 10th August 2025 failing which such provisional admission will stand cancelled. If the candidate is found ineligible at a later date even after admission in the University, her admission will stand cancelled.
- Admission will be confirmed to the students in order of merit on satisfactory verification of the Original documents including certificates and mark sheets.
