About the Convocation
The Convocation Ceremony is the most prestigious academic event for an educational institution. It marks the culmination of years of scholarly pursuit and recognition of the achievements of our graduating students. In honouring, inspiring, and advising them as they step into the world to begin the next chapter of their lives, the event assumes significance the ultimate acknowledgment of merit and potential.
The 11th Convocation of IIS (deemed to be University) promises to be a grand celebration of the hard work put in by the graduating classes of 2023, 2024 & 2025. Degrees and Diplomas will be conferred upon successful candidates from undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes, offered in the last three academic sessions.

माननीय राज्यपाल श्री हरिभाऊ किसानराव बागड़े जी का जन्म एक कृषक परिवार में हुआ। आप आरंभ से ही जन-सेवा के सरोकारों से जुड़े रहे हैं। समाज सेवा, कृषि एवं डेयरी क्षेत्र में आपका गहन अध्ययन ही नहीं है, बल्कि आपने इन क्षेत्रों के विकास के लिए निरंतर कार्य किया है।
माननीय राज्यपाल महोदय की ग्रामीण विकास में गहरी रुचि है। कमजोर और पिछड़े वर्गों के कल्याण तथा महिला सशक्तिकरण के लिए आपने निरंतर कार्य किया है।
Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister, Rajasthan
Smt. Diya Kumari
Smt. Diya Kumari is the Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister of Rajasthan,
holding the portfolios of Tourism, Public Works, and Women & Child Development in
the Council of Ministers led by Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma. She received her schooling at
Modern School, New Delhi and Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' Public School, Jaipur, and
holds a Graduate Diploma in Fine Art from the Chelsea College of Arts, London. She
represents the Vidhyadhar Nagar constituency in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and
earlier served as a Member of Parliament from Rajsamand (2019–2023).
She is closely associated with the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation, supporting
initiatives in women's empowerment, education, skill development, and heritage
conservation, reflecting her commitment to inclusive development and cultural
stewardship.
A committed educationist, she runs two highly prestigious schools - The Palace School
and the Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh School and has instituted the 'Young Achiever
in Education' award.
Smt. Diya Kumari is the proud daughter of H.H. Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh and
H.H. Maharani Padmini Devi of Jaipur.

Shri Kuldeep Ranka
Sh Kuldeep Ranka is an IAS officer of the 1994 batch, belonging to the Rajasthan cadre. Hailing from Jodhpur, Sh Ranka holds a B. Tech. degree in Computer Science from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.
He cracked the UPSC Civil Services Examination and joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1994 at the young age of 22, and was allotted his home cadre. His technical background has amply helped him contribute to roles in technology and administrative reforms throughout his career.
Currently, he is serving as the Additional Chief Secretary, overseeing the functioning of the Dept. of Higher & Technical Education, Govt. of Raj.
Guest of Honour
Lt. Gen. P. S. Shekhawat,PVSM,AVSM,SM
Lieutenant General Padam Singh Shekhawat was commissioned into 16 MECH INF on 19 December 1987. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and the Indian Military Academy. He has also attended the Defence Services Staff Course, Senior Command Course, Higher Command Course, and the prestigious National Defence College at Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Lt. Gen. P. S. Shekhawat has extensive experience in various high-profile command, staff, and instructional appointments. He commanded his own Battalion, an Armoured Brigade, and a Mountain Division in Eastern Ladakh during the India–China face-off in the Galwan Valley and Kailash Ranges.
He has served as an Instructor at the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla. In staff roles, he has held key positions such as Brigade Major of an Independent Mechanised Brigade, Liaison Officer at UNIFIL (Lebanon), Assistant Military Secretary at Army Headquarters, Colonel General Staff at Infantry Division, Colonel General Staff (Training) at Directorate General of Mechanised Forces, Deputy Military Secretary at Army Training Command, and Brigadier General Staff (Operations) at South Western Command.
He has also served as Major General Administration in Southern Command and Director General (Discipline, Ceremonial & Welfare) at Army Headquarters. His last posting was General Officer Commanding, Madhya Bharat Area. Lt. Gen. P. S. Shekhawat is a recipient of the prestigious Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, and Sena Medal.

2. Entry to the Venue
- Graduands are required to carry their University ID cards (last qualifying exam) or any other photo ID (in original) for entry to the convocation venue.
- Only the permitted number of accompanying guest/s with valid passes will be allowed inside the venue.
3. Discipline and Decorum
- You are required to maintain the discipline and decorum throughout the ceremony.
- Keep your mobile phones on silent mode during the ceremony.
- Personal photography near the stage is strictly restricted.
4. Lunch
Lunch will be served at the community centre for both Graduands & Accompanying person after the production of entry pass. Special Navratra lunch will also be served on 19th March 2026 along with regular lunch.
5. Issuing of Kits and Degrees
The degrees and registration kits will be issued on the day of convocation in the respective session. The flow chart for collection of degrees and kits will be available on website soon. The issuing of kits and degrees to another person will only be done upon submission of an authority letter issued by the graduand in hard copy.
6. Merit Position Holders
Merit Position Holders who have already collected their degrees or gold medals must return them to the IISU Office by March 16, 2026 to Ms. Prabhleen Kaur at IISU reception.
7. Instructions for Gold Medalists, Endowment Awardees and Ph.D. Graduands (Session I)
- You are requested to report at the venue by 10:15 am on 17th March 2026 for rehearsal and by 9:00 am on 18th March 2026 for registration and attendance.
- In this session strict protocol will be followed due to the presence of Hon'ble Governor of Rajasthan as the Chief Guest. Late entries will not be allowed.
- All graduands are requested to maintain the dignity of the convocation ceremony by wearing formal and appropriate attire. Graduands wearing indecent blouses will not be permitted to go on stage.
- You are required to attend the rehearsal compulsorily.
- Please take your seat in the designated area by 10:15 am.
Parking Advisory
The parking facilities will be available at the SFS Community Centre and service lane of New Sanganer Road. Due to availability of limited parking space, the Graduands are advised to commute by Cab or pool the car facility.

Rehearsal Schedule
Attendance at the rehearsal is mandatory for all graduands. The rehearsal ensures a smooth and dignified convocation ceremony.
It will be mandatory for graduands to attend the rehearsal to be organized prior to the event. The exact schedule of rehearsal will be announced soon.
