NOTICE

This is to inform all the students of IIS (deemed to be University) that to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the United Nations, “a Stamp Design Competition is being organized by the Ministry of Communication, Department of Posts” on the theme "UN@80 and India's leadership in building future through multilateralism, global leadership and stewardship".

An SOP detailing the role of the Department of Posts and the Ministry of External Affairs is enclosed for reference.

The competition is open for all the students of the University. Interested students to submit the hard copy to Ms. Sheetal Chitlangiya, Assistant Professor, Department pf Applied Arts & Sculpture in room No E-502 between 9:30-10:30am and the soft copy in jpeg format by July 31, 2025 on the link given below.

SOP FOR STAMP DESIGN COMPETITION FOR World Earth Day "80th Anniversary of United Nations"

Department of Posts, Ministry of External Affairs & United Nations

1. The Competition shall commence on 1st July 2025 and end on 15th August 2025. The goal is to ensure participation of maximum students and to get good drawings for designing the postage stamp on 80th Anniversary of United Nations.

2. Schools affiliated to CBSE, including Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas, schools affiliated to all State Boards as well as Art Colleges can participate in the Campaign.

3. Students belonging to Class IX to Class XII and students from Art Colleges can participate.

4. Students should draw their ideas on "UN@SO and India's leadership in building our future through multilateralism, global leadership and stewardship" through crayons, pencil colors, water colors, acrylic colors, etc. on art sheets (A4 Size, 200 GSM, White Color).

5. DOP shall collect all the drawing sheets and preserve at Circle level upon completion of the competition.

6. Department of School Education & Literacy shall send a formal communication to Chairman CBSE, Commissioners of KV & NV, all the Chief Secretaries/ Principal Secretary (School Education) to direct the schools under their jurisdiction/control to hold the Stamp Design Competition.

7. Chairman of University Grants Commission and other equivalent bodies of India shall direct the art colleges under their jurisdiction/control to hold the Stamp Design Competition.

8. CBSE/ KV/ NV/ State Governments/Universities/Association of Indian Universities (AIU) shall issue instructions to all the Principals of schools and Art Colleges regarding initial screening of entries to be done by the school authorities, in order to select a maximum of 05 entries per school.

9. Schools affiliated to CBSE, including Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas as well as schools affiliated to all State Boards are to hold the Stamp Design Competition at the school level on any of the days during the 1st July 2025 - 15th August.

10. Schools to conduct a screening of all the entries in order to shortlist a maximum of 05 designs on "UN@80 and India's leadership in building our future through multilateralism, global leadership and stewardship" with the best ideas. These 05 designs on the topic shall be scanned and uploaded on the MyGov Portal.

11. A committee chaired by CPMG of the circle shall evaluate the work of the students submitted by the schools and select five entries from them. These finalized five entries shall be submitted with Directorate for further screening and evaluation of the Directorate.

12. National-level evaluation would be done jointly by a committee nominated by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Department of Posts.

13. Department of Posts and Ministry of External Affairs will use their official social media handles to give wide publicity to the entire campaign.
