MOA between Kent State University and The IIS University

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed between The IIS University & Kent State University, Ohio USA on 10th January 2011 in the IIS University Jaipur. The MOA was signed by the Vice Chancellor of The IIS University, Dr.Ashok Gupta and Dr.Mary Ann Saunders, Executive Director, Kent State University, Ohio, to establish cooperative relations and to develop academic and cultural interchange between The IIS University and the Kent State University, through mutual assistance in the areas of education and research. 

This historic moment was witnessed by the students and staff members of The IIS University, in a formal program conducted at the ICG A.V.Hall. The program started with the ‘Vandana’ by the IIS University students. Then the VC of IISU Dr.Ashok Gupta welcomed the Guest Dr.Mary Ann Saunders, Dr.Yank Heisler Dean College of Business Administration, Dr.John Crawford, Dean College of Social Science and Dr.T.N.Bhargava Consultant KSU, to Jaipur and to The IIS University. He said that the MOA through the following activities and programs shall concentrate on the development of pedagogical and educational relationship between the two universities:

1. The exchange of students from each institution for traditional student exchange programs

2. The exchange of academic personnel for teaching, research, or both

3. The organization of joint seminars and conferences

4. The hosting of visiting faculty from the other institution

5. The exchange of academic program materials

6. The development of joint research and publications  

The MOA was then signed individually by the VC of The IISU and Dr.Mary A. Saunders on behalf of Dr. Robert G. Frank, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, KSU, and the copy was formally exchanged. 

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Mary Ann Saunders emphasized on the KSU initiatives as a State University and the programs that the Kent State will look forward to establish exchange in. She appreciated the City culture and heritage and expressed her sincere thanks to the Vice Chancellor and the Staff of the IISU for organising a memorable program. 

Introducing their respective departments at the KSU Dean Heisler and Dean Crawford welcomed this initiative, designed to develop the academic and cultural interchange between the two countries. They appreciated the culture and congratulated the IISU for its contribution towards Women Education. 

After the ceremony, high tea was organized for the guest from KSU, the Deans and Officials of The IIS University.
